American Asian Women’s Association (AAWA)
(formerly the Asian Women’s Club of Lakewood Ranch)
AAWA is an IRS approved 501(c) (3) non profit, exempt organization. AAWA is open to women of Asian descent or women who appreciate all things Asian. The organizational meeting was held on 10/11/2011. AAWA was approved by the Board of Lakewood Ranch on 10/13/2011.
MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of the American Asian Women’s Association (AAWA) is to make a positive difference in the community and its members through:
A. Fostering diversity through awareness and the building of friendships;
B. Enhancing awareness of Asian customs, culture, food, music, art and traditions;
C. Cultural, educational seminars and community outreach programs;
D. Fundraising events to support local charities and provide scholarships for needy students;
E. Distributions to organizations under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding provisions of any further United States Internal Revenue Law.
We are located in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
